Principal Google Cloud Platform Data Architect

Introduction

We are seeking a hands-on Principal Google Cloud Platform Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of large-scale data ecosystems. The ideal candidate is an architect who has led massive cloud migrations, built self-serve data platforms from the ground up, and maintains a rigorous focus on data governance and security.

Responsibilities

• Define the long-term roadmap for data platforms on Google Cloud Platform
• Architect and oversee the build-out of modern, self-serve data architectures
• Lead complex end-to-end migration from AWS to Google Cloud Platform
• Design and enforce robust data security frameworks
• Drive automation using Terraform or Pulumi
• Act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders

Requirements

Required Skills

• Expert-level mastery of the Google Cloud Platform Data Stack
• Experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, and more
• Google Cloud Platform Professional Data Engineer Certification
• DRP ID 50+
• 18-20 years in Data Engineering, with at least 6+ years focused on Google Cloud Platform

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Looker, Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, Kafka, and Confluent
• Experience with AWS-to-Google Cloud Platform Migration, dbt, GKE, IAM, VPC Service Controls, and more

Must-Haves:
Should have worked exclusively on Google Cloud Platform
We are looking for candidates who have Google Cloud Platform Certification and comes from a Data Engineering background. This role is remote and candidate can be based anywhere in US.
