The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to load, unload, and relocate shipping containers. • Drive hostlers to accurately position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Perform routine equipment inspections to ensure safety and operational readiness. • Coordinate container movements with yard personnel and supervisors for efficient logistics. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all established protocols and procedures. • Uphold strict safety standards in all aspects of container handling and yard operations. What You'll Need • A valid Driver's License is mandatory. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Strong commitment to safety protocols and a keen eye for detail. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs on railcars.
