The Role

• Collaborate with finance and accounting directors to ensure accurate and timely recording of journal entries and transactions.
• Provide guidance and training to accountants, serving as an initial resource for transaction recording and policy inquiries.
• Perform daily accounting tasks for assigned communities, stepping in when a dedicated accountant is unavailable.
• Prepare daily cash account reconciliations and monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Identify, resolve, and implement preventative measures for accounting issues and control deficiencies.
• Assist in the preparation of month-end, quarterly, and annual reports, consolidations, and other financial reporting.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of five years of relevant accounting experience, or a combination of education and experience.
• Proficient knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.
