Position Type: Senior-level Mechanical Engineering

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field
  • 6+ years of experience in mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, and/or manufacturing

  • Hardware design and development for complex systems
  • Experience in aerospace or high-reliability environments preferred
  • Creo and/or SolidWorks
  • Engineering analysis using FEA/CFD, including tools such as FloTHERM/FloEFD
  • Hand calculations and analytical/simulation-based design validation
  • Electronic board assembly mechanical integration
  • Component mounting and mechanical packaging
  • Thermal management
  • Understanding of chip-, package-, and board-level electronics integration
  • GD&T
  • Tolerance stack-up analysis

  • Design for Assembly (DFA)

Aerospace / Avionics Requirements

  • Familiarity with FAA certification processes
  • Knowledge of DO-160, FARs, and related aerospace standards
  • Experience with aircraft systems or avionics hardware integration
  • Familiarity with RF, EMI/EMC considerations

Manufacturing / Product Development

  • Experience supporting high-rate production or in-house manufacturing
  • Understanding of:

  • Ability to own product development from concept through production

Key Responsibilities                                                          

  • Design and develop mechanical/electromechanical hardware for complex systems.
  • Perform mechanical analysis, testing, and design validation.
  • Create and maintain detailed CAD designs and engineering documentation.
  • Perform hand calculations, FEA/CFD, tolerance analysis, and design verification.
  • Support electronic board assembly integration, mechanical packaging, mounting, and thermal management.
  • Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, DFM, and DFA principles to production-ready designs.
  • Support aerospace certification and compliance activities, including applicable FAA, DO-160, and FAR requirements.
  • Work with electrical, RF, EMC, manufacturing, and other engineering teams to resolve multidisciplinary design issues.
  • Manage multiple priorities and drive product development schedules from concept through production.
  • Support manufacturing, supply-chain, production, and lifecycle activities.
  • Focus on reliability, performance, manufacturability, and continuous improvement.
