We are seeking a Sr. UI/UX Developer / Architect / Design Engineer with expertise in building enterprise design systems from scratch and driving federal accessibility compliance across modern web platforms.

Crux of the Role
Set up an enterprise-level design system from scratch using USWDS, Angular, and SASS, while developing accessible wrapper components in Storybook to meet strict WCAG 2.1 AAA standards.
 
Required Skills & Expertise
 
  • Front-End Stack: Angular, SASS, Semantic HTML (5+ Years)
  • Design Systems: Setting up enterprise design systems from scratch & building reusable component libraries (5+ Years)
  • Accessibility (WCAG): Deep experience with WCAG 2.1 AAA standards, ARIA roles, Section 508, and accessibility testing (5+ Years)
  • Component Documentation: Storybook development & documentation (5+ Years)
  • Framework Experience: Hands-on experience with USWDS or similar enterprise frameworks (5+ Years)
  • Communication: Clear technical communication to guide and mentor cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills
 
  • Backend Awareness: Basic familiarity with .NET, MVC, and SQL for seamless front-end to backend integration
