Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Cyber Security Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to Designs, develops, and implements leading-edge analytical and technical methodologies, tools, and policies/standards to ensure a cyber-secure environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts.
- Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.

- Provides advice and counsel to the organization in area of expertise.
- Use strategies and technologies to safeguard sensitive information from unauthorized access, corruption, loss, or misuse. It ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data throughout its lifecycle, whether it's stored, transmitted, or processed.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related professional experience.
- Active DoD IAM and/or IAT Level III, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or SecurityX or Security+
- Proficient in applying configuration management tools and practices to maintain system integrity, enforce secure baselines, and ensure alignment with federal cybersecurity requirements across all phases of the system lifecycle.
- Proven capability to identify, investigate, and escalate cybersecurity incidents, ensuring timely containment, resolution, and compliance with reporting protocols. Skilled in applying structured response methodologies to minimize impact and strengthen organizational resilience.
- Skilled in implementing and managing security technologies, including monitoring tools, endpoint protection, IAM systems, vulnerability scanners, and threat intelligence platforms to enhance cybersecurity resilience.
- Understanding of NIST SP 800-37, 800-53, and CNSSI 1253 for system authorization.
- Active TS SCI w/Polygraph security clearance required What Preferred Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelors Degree with 12 years of experience or Masters Degree with 10 years Experience.
- Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or University .
Security Clearance Requirement: An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position. This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
