The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely. • Position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard using hostlers. • Stack, move, and organize containers according to operational needs. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Communicate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is required. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Strong commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
