Senior Radioactive Waste Shipping Compliance Officer - Nuclear Energy

Constellation Energy seeks a Senior Radwaste Shipper to manage safe, compliant transport of radioactive waste for its nuclear operations. This role coordinates packaging, documentation, and routing in strict alignment with DOT, NRC, and other regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with radiation protection, operations, and logistics teams, maintain accurate records, and interface with carriers and disposal facilities. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute safe shipment of radioactive waste from nuclear facilities in compliance with federal, state, and DOT/NRC regulations
• Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation, manifests, and regulatory records for all radwaste shipments
• Perform packaging, labeling, and classification of radioactive materials according to applicable standards
• Collaborate with operations, radiation protection, and logistics teams to plan shipment schedules and routing
• Monitor and verify radiation surveys, contamination checks, and waste characterization data
• Interface with regulators, carriers, and disposal facilities to ensure compliant receipt and transport
• Participate in safety, quality, and emergency preparedness programs related to radioactive material handling
• Identify process improvements to enhance shipment efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance
