Senior React Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior React Developer for an onsite position in Charlotte, NC, supporting a banking client. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Redux, REST APIs, and modern enterprise front-end development. The role requires close collaboration with product, UX, backend, architecture, and QA teams to deliver secure, scalable, high-performance banking applications.

Key Responsibilities

·         Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React.js and TypeScript.

·         Build reusable UI components, libraries, and responsive user interfaces.

·         Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.

·         Implement state management using Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API, or similar solutions.

·         Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, backend developers, architects, and QA teams.

·         Develop applications following banking standards for security, authentication, authorization, and data privacy.

·         Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in peer code reviews.

·         Develop unit, integration, and UI tests using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar tools.

·         Troubleshoot production issues and optimize applications for performance, scalability, and responsiveness.

·         Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, technical design, and release activities.

·         Support CI/CD processes and deployments across development, QA, and production environments.

Required Skills

·         7+ years of software development experience with strong front-end development expertise.

·         Strong hands-on experience with React.js, Hooks, functional components, and modern React patterns.

·         Strong JavaScript ES6+ and TypeScript skills.

·         Experience with HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern UI development.

·         Strong experience with Redux / Redux Toolkit or comparable state-management solutions.

·         Experience integrating REST APIs, JSON services, and asynchronous workflows.

·         Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or equivalent testing frameworks.

·         Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum, and enterprise development practices.

·         Understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, secure session management, and role-based access controls.

·         Strong understanding of browser compatibility and front-end performance optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Banking or financial-services experience is strongly preferred.

·         Experience developing secure enterprise applications in regulated environments.

·         Knowledge of microservices and API-driven architectures.

·         Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud environments.

·         Understanding of accessibility standards and secure software-development practices.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
