The Role • Operate heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to load and unload shipping containers. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Stack, move, and organize containers according to operational needs. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container movements. • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is a mandatory requirement. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, with open availability. • Basic communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a team. • Commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail. • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs.
