Working arrangements: Hybrid working arrangements will be considered with a typical 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.

Extension term: 1 x 12 months
Security clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline clearance
Rates: $100 - $120 per hour (inc. super)
The Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) supports those who serve or have served in defence of our nation and their families. DVA is committed to delivering high-quality, client-focused services that improve health, wellbeing and independence.
The DVA is seeking Business Analyst services to support strategic, digital, service delivery and business transformation initiatives. Business Analysts will work across operational and delivery contexts to understand business needs, document requirements, map processes, analyse impacts and support practical delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Gather, analyse and document requirements
- Map processes, identify issues and recommend improvements
- Support workshops and discovery across business and technical teams
- Translate business needs into clear analysis artefacts
- Analyse impacts, dependencies and risks to support delivery
- Support data-related business analysis where required, including documenting business rules, data flows, reporting needs and impacts on business processes.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with requirements, process analysis and related artefacts
- Ability to work across business and technical contexts
- Sound judgement, adaptability and a focus on practical outcomes
- Experience with frameworks such as BABOK, agile, human-centred design, user-centred design and the Digital Service Standard.
