Overview
We're working with a client looking to bring on a senior-level SAP PO / CPI Integration Specialist to strengthen their integration team and lead a critical transition from SAP Process Orchestration (PO) to SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
This is a high-impact role where the right person will not only drive technical execution but also elevate the overall capability of the team. The environment currently requires stronger technical leadership, improved problem-solving, and more efficient delivery across integration workflows.
Program Environment / Context
  • Existing SAP PO landscape with ~100 active interfaces
  • Active initiative to migrate integrations from PO CPI
  • Offshore development team requiring stronger technical direction
  • Current gaps in troubleshooting, error handling, and independent problem-solving
  • Manager heavily involved in day-to-day technical oversight (this role will help alleviate that)
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead design, development, and support of SAP PO and CPI integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems
  • Drive migration efforts from SAP PO to CPI, including planning, execution, and optimization
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to offshore developers
  • Act as escalation point for complex integration and interface issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration errors with a proactive, root-cause-driven approach
  • Improve team workflows, reducing rework and increasing delivery efficiency
  • Implement stronger error handling and monitoring processes across integrations
  • Work with APIs, web services, and various adapters (SFTP, REST, SOAP, etc.)
  • Support external integrations, including APIs exposed via SAP PO (web dispatcher, etc.)
Required Experience / Skillset
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP Process Orchestration (PO)
  • Proven experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI)
  • Prior experience migrating interfaces from PO to CPI
  • Deep understanding of integration patterns, middleware architecture, and API design
  • Experience working with common adapters (SFTP, REST, SOAP, APIs, databases)
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently and drive solutions
  • Experience mentoring or leading offshore / junior teams
  • Strong communication skills - able to guide both technical and non-technical stakeholders
