Description

SAIC is seeking a qualified Systems Engineer to support the Naval Air Warfare Station Weapons Division Branch at Point Mugu, CA. The candidate will perform systems engineering to support the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) program for the Navy.
  • Conducts Systems Engineering tasks related to the NGJ program, including formulating concepts of operations, defining and analyzing requirements, system architecture design, system analysis and development, interface and data architecture creation, system validation and verification, integration of systems, operational and performance analysis, lifecycle cost estimation, decision analysis, and Physical Configuration Analysis (PCA).
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications.
  • Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
  • Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives.
  • Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of the variety of factors


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of nine (9) years of experience as a System Engineer with technical or operational experience in the related field
  • Experience developing and proofing technical documentation
  • Specific experience with the Next Generation Jammer pod including system operation, software design, documentation, protocols, and data flow
  • Specific experience in EA-18G and NGJ mission planning


Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
