The Role

We are looking for an innovative and technically skilled AI Engineer to join our growing consulting team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about designing, developing, and deploying AI and Generative AI solutions that create measurable business value.

As an AI Engineer at One51, you will work across a range of client engagements focused on AI strategy, intelligent applications, machine learning, Generative AI, copilots, and advanced analytics solutions. You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, consultants, architects, and client stakeholders to deliver modern AI capabilities on enterprise cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning solutions for client environments. Build and support Generative AI solutions, including copilots, chatbots, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and intelligent automation use cases.
• Develop and optimise AI workflows, pipelines, and model integration patterns.
• Work with structured and unstructured datasets to support AI and analytics outcomes.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to prepare and manage data for AI workloads.
• Implement prompt engineering, model orchestration, and AI application integration.
• Support model evaluation, monitoring, optimisation, and governance practices.
• Participate in AI solution architecture, discovery workshops, and technical design sessions.
• Translate complex technical concepts into practical business outcomes and recommendations.
• Contribute to reusable AI accelerators, frameworks, and delivery standards within One51.
• Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, and implementation guides.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies, trends, and best practices.

Skills & Experience Essential

• 3+ years' experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Data Science, or related technical roles.
• Experience developing AI or machine learning solutions in cloud environments.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Experience working with AI frameworks, APIs, and libraries.
• Experience with Generative AI concepts, including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and AI orchestration.
• Experience with cloud data and analytics platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of data engineering and analytics concepts.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems and business workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in project based or consulting environments.

Desirable

• Experience with Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot technologies, Databricks or Snowflake AI capabilities.
• Experience with vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, and AI retrieval patterns.
• Exposure to MLOps, CI/CD, DevOps, and AI governance practices.
• Experience building intelligent applications using APIs and modern cloud services.
• Understanding of data governance, security, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
• Exposure to AI agents, workflow automation, or multi agent frameworks.
• Relevant Microsoft, Databricks, Snowflake or AI certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
