Requirements:
- 2+ yrs large-scale construction industry
- Data Center/Structured cabling highly preferred
- Develops, implements, and delivers safety and orientation training programs.
- Implementing safety programs
- Inspects facilities and recommends corrective measures to mitigate hazards
- High proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Maintains safety documentation including audits, inspections, Pre-Task Plans (PTP), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
- Prepares materials for hearings, lawsuits, and insurance cases.
- Conducts accident and injury investigations
- Required:
- Either and/or
- Bachelor's degree in an EHS discipline
- BCSP certification such as ASP, CHST, OHST, CSP, SMT, SMS, CET, and/or GSP
- Either and/or
- Preferred certs -
- OSHA Outreach Trainer Certification for OSHA 10/30 Hour

Skills and Experience:
- Data Center, Constructions
- EHS, Safety Protocol
- Functional Safety Principles (LOTO (lock out tag out), Interlocks, Guarding, Control Systems)
- Incident Investigation
- Exposure to hyperscale data center builds with working knowledge of mission-critical construction, commissioning phases, and high-risk operational environments.
- Enforced OSHA, NFPA 70E, and ISO 45001 standards across multi-million-dollar data center builds, achieving 100% regulatory compliance.
- Utilize Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore,
- optimize EHS and project management workflows, improve reporting and compliance tracking, enhance resource planning, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase operational efficiency and business performance.
- Implemented machine safety, powered industrial truck safety, fall protection, and hazard communication programs.
- Executed internal audits aligned with Amazon's data center EHS framework, ensuring readiness for regulatory and third-party inspections.
- Served as site liaison during OSHA inspections and regulatory inquiries.
- Managed corrective actions from audits, investigations, and regulatory findings.
Education:
MS Engineering in Sustainability and Health
Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce site safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and company safety programs.
- Conduct new hire safety orientations and ongoing safety training.
- Perform routine site inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Maintain all required safety documentation including:
- Pre-Task Plans (PTPs)
- Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Safety audits and inspections
- Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses while documenting findings and corrective actions.
- Support preparation of documentation related to regulatory inspections, insurance claims, and legal matters when necessary.
- Partner with project teams to proactively identify risks and improve overall site safety performance.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the project.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of Environmental Health & Safety experience supporting large-scale commercial construction projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related discipline OR one or more BCSP certifications including:
- ASP
- CHST
- OHST
- CSP
- SMT
- SMS
- CET
- GSP
- Experience developing and implementing safety programs.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Experience
- Data center or mission-critical construction experience.
- Structured cabling or low-voltage construction experience.
- Experience supporting hyperscale data center builds.
- Working knowledge of:
- Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO)
- NFPA 70E
- Fall Protection
- Hazard Communication
- Incident Investigation
- Powered Industrial Truck Safety
- Experience managing corrective actions from audits and regulatory inspections.
- Experience serving as a site liaison during OSHA inspections.
- Familiarity with Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 safety standards.
