HX5, LLC at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking an Aircraft Propulsion Systems Research Engineer with experience in multi-disciplinary design, analysis, and optimization (MDAO) for aircraft propulsion systems. Job responsibilities include:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as python, C++, and MATLAB.
• Experience with AI/ML tools and development.
• Experience in software development.

Required Skills

• Experience in analyzing and assessing advanced propulsion concepts.
• Experience in developing and maintaining propulsion systems analysis software tools.
• Good understanding of the fundamentals of aircraft propulsion systems and/or rocket propulsion.
• Experience in modeling, simulations, and optimization, particularly in the area of propulsion systems.
• Experience in using OpenMDAO or NPSS for engineering applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to integrate effectively into multi-disciplinary research teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• High motivation, creativity, and problem-solving ability.

Other Desired Skills

• Proficiency in programming languages such as python, C++, and MATLAB.
• Experience with AI/ML tools and development.
• Experience in software development.

Education:  Completed at least a Bachelor of Science degree, from an accredited program, with the following education and experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree and 0 - 2 years of relevant experience

Other Position Requirements:

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
