Junior Software Engineer – Tools and Applications with Security Clearance

Software Engineer - AI Infrastructure We are looking for a software engineer to support our dynamic AI infrastructure team at Columbia, MD. In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of high-quality tools and applications that enable seamless and efficient use of AI across various customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality AI tools and applications for internal and external users
• Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of AI systems and tools
• Adapt Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS) to meet specific customer requirements
• Engage with customers regularly to gather requirements and develop tailored solutions
• Maintain existing infrastructure and applications to ensure continuous service reliability

Required Skills

• Familiarity with UI/UX principles
• Experience using large language models (LLMs) in a code solution workflow
• Ability to learn new technologies rapidly
• Strong communication skills and the willingness to ask questions when necessary
• Proficiency with Python or another Object-Oriented Programming language Nice to Have:
• Experience with LLM UI Open-Source software such as OpenWebUI
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud service providers
• Knowledge of Kubernetes/Helm and CI/CD frameworks like Argo CD
• Background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) for production support
