About the Role

We are currently seeking Nippers to join our underground mining operation. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in underground mining while working alongside experienced operators and mining professionals.

As a Nipper, you will play a critical support role in underground production activities by assisting key operational personnel and ensuring underground consumables, equipment, and working areas are maintained to support safe and efficient mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently complete all tasks as directed by the Supervisor, maintaining compliance with site procedures, safety standards, and operational requirements.
• Assist Jumbo and Cablebolt Operators with rig set-up, face preparation, mark-up, and the installation of ground support.
• Ensure development crews have adequate consumables, materials, and supplies available to support daily mining activities.
• Conduct pre-start inspections, complete required TTTCs and THAs, perform minor equipment maintenance, and maintain high housekeeping standards on equipment and in headings.
• Actively participate in pre-starts, toolbox and safety meetings, promptly report hazards, incidents, and near misses, and undertake any other duties within your capabilities as directed.

About You:

• Australian citizenship or PR.
• Working at Heights and First Aid/CPR certifications.
• Valid manual driver's licence
• Physically capable of performing demanding manual tasks, including the infrequent heavy pushing, pulling, lifting, and handling of cables, tools, hoses, drill rods, and other equipment weighing up to 35kg.
