Job Description

Job Title: - Product Owner (Asset Management)

Location: NYC, NY-(Hybrid)

Employment Type: Contract

Experience Required: 12+ Years

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Salesforce product vision and roadmap for US Institutional, Intermediary, and Retail channels.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, sales teams, operations, and technology.
  • Lead requirements gathering, prioritization, and backlog management.
  • Facilitate discussions with senior leaders to align on business priorities and platform enhancements.
  • Ensure Salesforce supports key business workflows across distribution, onboarding, client servicing, and reporting.
  • Drive adoption and continuous improvement of Salesforce across business teams.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Technology, Compliance).
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Oversee release planning, UAT coordination, and change management.
  • Monitor platform performance, user satisfaction, and business outcomes.
  • Represent the Salesforce product in governance forums and strategic planning sessions.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Asset Management Expertise
  • Deep understanding of US Intermediary, US Retail, and Institutional distribution channels.
  • Strong knowledge of asset management workflows, client lifecycle, and distribution models.
  • Ability to navigate complex business structures and regulatory considerations.

Product Ownership

  • 7 12+ years of experience in Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Lead roles.
  • Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and drive consensus.
  • Experience owning roadmaps, backlogs, and cross-functional delivery.

Salesforce Knowledge

  • Strong functional understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud.
  • Ability to translate business needs into Salesforce capabilities (non-technical).
  • Experience working with Salesforce admins, developers, and architects.

Leadership & Communication

  • able to influence senior executives.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and prioritization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in asset management firms
  • Experience with Salesforce in financial services environments.
  • Experience with distribution, onboarding, CRM workflows, and client data models.
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree (preferred but not required).
