Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in business process modeling, BPMN, API requirements, automated controls, regression testing, and audit/compliance documentation. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, QA, compliance, and audit teams to translate business requirements into well-defined processes, system requirements, API contracts, test scenarios, and control frameworks.

The candidate should have strong experience documenting end-to-end business processes, identifying control requirements, supporting API/integration initiatives, and maintaining comprehensive audit evidence and traceability.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.

• Create and maintain BPMN 2.0 process models for current-state and future-state business processes.

• Analyze business workflows to identify process gaps, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation.

• Develop detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), user stories, acceptance criteria, and process specifications.

• Define requirements for REST/SOAP APIs, API integrations, data flows, and system interfaces.

• Collaborate with architects and development teams to define and review API contracts, including request/response structures, business rules, validations, error handling, and data mappings.

• Translate business and regulatory requirements into automated controls and system validations.

• Identify opportunities to replace manual controls with automated preventive and detective controls.

• Work with QA teams to develop functional, integration, regression, and UAT test scenarios.

• Define regression test coverage for business-critical processes and system changes.

• Trace requirements through design, development, testing, deployment, and production validation.

• Support release and change-management activities and assess downstream impacts of application changes.

• Maintain requirements traceability matrices (RTM) and ensure complete coverage of business requirements.

• Partner with Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk, and SOX teams to document and validate business and IT controls.

• Prepare and maintain audit evidence, including process documentation, control evidence, test results, approvals, screenshots, logs, and system-generated reports.

• Support internal/external audits and respond to evidence requests and control inquiries.

• Perform root-cause analysis of production issues and coordinate with technology teams on resolution.

• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, process walkthroughs, requirement reviews, UAT sessions, and solution demonstrations.
