Job Title: OCP Engineer with FIX Messaging Experience
Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid – 3 Days/Week)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced OCP Engineer with FIX Messaging expertise to join a leading financial services organization in Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP), Kubernetes, Docker, Linux administration, CI/CD pipelines, and FIX Messaging platforms such as QuickFIX, Broadridge Appia, and TradeScope. This role focuses on engineering, automation, deployment, and production support for mission-critical middleware solutions in a real-time trading environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and support OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) and Kubernetes-based middleware solutions.
• Implement and maintain containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, and Ansible.
• Install, configure, and support QuickFIX, Broadridge Appia, TradeScope, and SWIFT Alliance platforms.
• Perform production support, root cause analysis, defect resolution, and incident management.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, and AWS services.
• Monitor platform performance using Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, Linux, and application teams to implement enterprise solutions.
• Manage system upgrades, patching, disaster recovery testing, and weekend production deployments.
• Create technical documentation, operational playbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Support high-performance messaging systems used in real-time financial trading environments.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of experience with Kubernetes and container platforms.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
• Strong experience with FIX Messaging, including QuickFIX, Broadridge Appia, TradeScope, or similar platforms.
• Experience with SWIFT Alliance Access.
• Strong Linux administration skills and scripting experience (Bash, Shell, Perl, or Python).
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, ELB, CloudWatch, Route 53, Auto Scaling, and Lambda.
• Knowledge of VMware, networking, DNS, TCP/IP, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience supporting real-time trading environments and high-performance messaging platforms.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, SonarQube, JIRA, and version control best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure and container strategy implementation.
• Knowledge of FIX protocol, FIX order flow, and exchange connectivity.
• Experience handling critical production incidents in enterprise financial environments.
• Ability to work independently and participate in on-call and weekend support rotations.
