Senior Java Developer with Tier 1 Investment Bank - Allegis Global Solutions

Role Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Java Developer to join our FM Digital Channels team at a leading international investment bank. In this contract role, you will drive platform development forward and deliver high-quality solutions to business-critical customer requirements. You will work as part of a dynamic global team responsible for cross-product transactional pricing of derivatives, collaborating with technologists, business analysts, project managers and business stakeholders across multiple locations.

Location & Work Mode

This role is based in London, UK with a flexible hybrid arrangement: 2 days per week onsite and 3 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drive platform development forwards and deliver quality solutions to business-critical customer requirements
2. Collaborate in a dynamic global team with fellow technologists, business analysts, project managers and business stakeholders
3. Write efficient, clear code and articulate what has been implemented and why
4. Take ownership and responsibility for the full development lifecycle
5. Drive and facilitate requirements and development efforts

Required Qualifications

1. 5+ years of hands-on development experience with investment banking IT systems
2. Expert-level knowledge of Core Java (essential), including Concurrency and Spring Framework
3. Experience with FX Options trading technology
4. Derivatives domain knowledge
5. Proven experience in end-to-end design, development and support of financial markets systems
6. Experience working in agile development environments
7. Excellent software design principles and ability to write robust code with accompanying test suites
8. Full-stack web development capability
9. Strong English language skills (speaking and writing)

Compensation & Benefits

1. Rate: £750 PAYE (Inside IR35) equivalent to £195,000 annually
2. 38 days annual leave
