Quality Manager

Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Working Arrangement: Rotation-Based

About the Role

Crown is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join our team on a major hyperscale data centre project in Frankfurt, Germany.

You will take responsibility for Quality Assurance across the project, supporting the delivery of roofing, cladding, curtain walling, rainscreen and associated building envelope works.

Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors and client representatives, you will ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved specifications, quality standards and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take overall responsibility for Quality Assurance across the project.
  • Implement and manage First-Off Checks (FOCs), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and build-up verification.
  • Carry out regular quality inspections, audits and quality observations.
  • Inspect and monitor air seal installations, ensuring photographic records and quality evidence are maintained.
  • Manage the three-stage handover process: W1 – Works Complete, W2 – Snagging and W3 – Close-Out.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of work zones and quality status throughout the project.
  • Manage QA documentation within Procore, including inspection reports, photographic evidence, NCRs and sign-offs.
  • Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors and client QA representatives to proactively resolve quality issues.
  • Attend coordination, progress and quality meetings with the Main Contractor and Client.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying lessons learned and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Maintain comprehensive quality records and documentation throughout the project.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the successful delivery of the project.

About You

  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a site-based Quality or QA/QC role within the construction industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of roofing, cladding, curtain walling and façade systems.
  • Experience within the building envelope sector is highly desirable.
  • Data centre or mission-critical project experience is advantageous.
  • Experience using Procore or similar quality management systems.
  • Professional qualification in Quality Management is desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Willingness to work on a rotational basis.
  • Currently based in Europe and eligible to work within the EU.
  • Familiarity with BIM and other construction technologies is desirable.
