Role:Senior Staff Engineer – Network Observability & Distributed Systems

Location:Redwood City CA (Hybrid)

Job Summary

  • Architect and optimize large-scale observability platforms using Java, Apache Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Grafana for real-time telemetry processing.
  • Design and maintain high-throughput streaming pipelines with sub-second latency for global network telemetry and distributed systems.
  • Lead the development of scalable stream-processing solutions using technologies such as Apache Flink, Prometheus, Thanos, and ClickHouse.
  • Define platform architecture, technical standards, SLI/SLO metrics, and drive reliability, performance, and ITIL-compliant operations.
  • Perform advanced root cause analysis, guide long-term technical strategy, and collaborate with software engineering, product, and network infrastructure teams.
  • Requires 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in network observability or telemetry platforms, with strong expertise in distributed systems and Agile development.
