Data & Integration Engineer

Description
We are looking for a Data & Integration Engineer to support the design and delivery of dependable data solutions for healthcare operations in Mankato, Minnesota. In this role, you will create and optimize data pipelines, connect critical applications, and help ensure information moves accurately across clinical, operational, and business platforms. This position is ideal for someone who combines strong technical depth with a practical understanding of healthcare data standards, platform reliability, and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

Develop and support scalable data workflows that collect, transform, and distribute information across enterprise systems. Build and manage integrations between clinical, operational, and business applications to enable consistent data exchange. Monitor data processing and interface performance, troubleshoot failures, and improve overall reliability of connected systems. Establish and maintain controls that strengthen data accuracy, completeness, and consistency throughout the data lifecycle.

Create and enhance data infrastructure using modern cloud and database technologies to support reporting, analytics, and operational needs. Partner with technical and business teams to understand integration requirements and translate them into effective engineering solutions. Implement solutions that align with healthcare data regulations and interoperability expectations across connected platforms. Support interfaces and data connections involving electronic health record and practice management systems, including related downstream applications.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, enterprise integrations, or large-scale data platform development. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with healthcare technology, clinical applications, or healthcare business systems. Strong proficiency with SQL development, database programming, and relational database platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, DB2, or PostgreSQL.

Experience with ETL and cloud data technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Synapse, Azure Data Lake, DataStage, or similar tools. Working knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or comparable scripting languages used for automation and data processing. Familiarity with healthcare interoperability concepts and standards, including HL7 and electronic medical record or electronic health record environments. Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate certification or experience with comparable cloud data engineering platforms is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.
