Job Description

Medical Director | Nürnberg, Bavaria, Germany | On-site

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Director for a leading psychosomatic clinic, recognized as the third-largest of its kind in Germany. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team committed to providing innovative and high-quality care for adolescents.

The Role

  • Assume leadership responsibilities on our psychosomatic youth ward with a clear path to full medical directorship.
  • Oversee clinical processes and the psychotherapeutic treatment journey for young patients, with structured support.
  • Represent the Chief Medical Officer in the capacity of leading Medical Director and contribute to departmental advancement.
  • Conduct supervision for child and adolescent psychotherapists in training.
  • Manage patient admissions, family consultations, and interdisciplinary case reviews to ensure excellent care standards.

What You'll Need

  • Completed specialist training or be in the 4th year of training as an Assistant Doctor in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, with an advanced or completed psychotherapeutic training.
  • A genuine passion for interdisciplinary collaboration within a multidisciplinary team of physicians, psychologists, nurses, educators, and therapists.
  • Enthusiasm for taking on initial leadership tasks and developing into a full leadership role.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Experience or willingness to engage in home-based on-call duties coordinated with adult ward colleagues.
