IT Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to analyse business processes, IT systems, and organisational requirements, and to support the delivery of effective technology solutions.

The successful candidate will work with business stakeholders, management and technical teams to understand current and future business requirements, identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, and translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyse existing and future business processes, IT systems and organisational requirements.
• Gather, analyse, validate and document business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into functional requirements and appropriate IT system solutions.
• Develop and maintain requirements specifications, process flows, business rules, wireframes and other system documentation.
• Assess IT systems and related technical requirements, including infrastructure, integration and security considerations.
• Support systems design, implementation, configuration and integration activities.
• Support data migration, system integration, user acceptance testing (UAT) and other testing activities.
• Analyse system performance and effectiveness against business requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Analyse business and system data and provide evidence-based recommendations to management and stakeholders.
• Identify and support the resolution of technical and operational issues.
• Prepare project updates, risk and issue reports and recommendations for business leaders and relevant stakeholders.
• Develop user guides, training materials and supporting documentation to support successful implementation and adoption of IT solutions.
• Work with senior and middle management to understand current requirements, future business needs and organisational growth objectives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across business processes and IT systems.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential

• Bachelor s degree or Diploma in Business Administration/Computer science/Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience as an IT Business Analyst, Business Analyst or in a closely related role.
• Experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis and IT systems analysis.
• Experience producing business and technical documentation and supporting system implementation and testing activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.

Desirable

• Experience working closely with technology and software development teams.
• Previous experience in a Business Analyst or Product Owner capacity.
• Practical knowledge of SQL, ERP, XML and CRM systems.
• Experience with data migration, enterprise architecture, integration technologies, single sign-on (SSO), and master data management.
• Experience with wireframing, business rules, process mapping, and systems documentation.
• Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), integration testing, and software testing methodologies.
• Experience working within project management frameworks or Agile environments.
• A Master s degree/ Post graduate Diploma in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in IT security, network analysis, or IT service management.
