Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Google Workspace Migration Architect to lead the end-to-end planning, architecture, and execution of enterprise-scale migrations from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Google Workspace administration, migration strategies, identity and security integration, and enterprise collaboration platforms.

This role is responsible for designing secure, scalable, and user-centric migration solutions while ensuring minimal business disruption. The architect will collaborate with business stakeholders, security teams, infrastructure teams, and project leadership to successfully deliver large-scale cloud collaboration transformations.

Experience Required

• 8-12+ years of overall IT experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Google Workspace Administration and Architecture
• Experience managing large enterprise Google Workspace tenants
• Experience leading enterprise Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace migrations

Key Responsibilities

Google Workspace Architecture

• Design and implement enterprise-scale Google Workspace architecture aligned with business, security, and compliance requirements.
• Architect Google Workspace tenant configuration and governance.
• Design Google Drive, Shared Drives, Gmail, Google Meet, Google Chat, and collaboration environments.
• Configure Google Vault for retention policies, legal holds, compliance, and eDiscovery.

Microsoft 365 Migration

• Design migration strategies for:
  • Exchange Online Gmail
  • OneDrive Google Drive
  • SharePoint Google Drive / Shared Drives
  • Microsoft Teams Google Chat / Google Meet
• Plan migration waves, coexistence strategies, pilot migrations, and phased rollouts.
• Lead mailbox, file, and collaboration workload migrations.
• Perform migration validation, reconciliation, and post-migration support.

Migration Tools

• Implement and manage migration solutions using:
  • Google Workspace Migrate
  • GWMME (Google Workspace Migration for Microsoft Exchange)
  • BitTitan MigrationWiz
  • CloudM
  • Other enterprise migration tools

Identity & Security

• Integrate Azure Active Directory with Google Cloud Directory.
• Configure:
  • Single Sign-On (SSO)
  • SAML
  • OAuth
• Implement:
  • Context-Aware Access
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • Gmail Security Policies
  • SPF
  • DKIM
  • DMARC
• Define governance, security, and compliance standards for Google Workspace.

Automation

• Develop automation using:
  • Google Workspace Admin SDK
  • Google APIs
  • Google Apps Script
• Automate reporting, user provisioning, administration, and migration tasks.

Documentation & Leadership

• Create:
  • Solution Architecture Documents
  • Technical Design Documents
  • Migration Runbooks
  • Architecture Diagrams
  • Operational Documentation
• Present migration plans, progress, and executive reports to stakeholders.
• Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership throughout the migration lifecycle.
