Technical Writer | San Diego, CA, United States | Hybrid | $55,300.00 - $126,000.00
This employer is a globally recognized leader in management consulting, known for its large-scale impact on complex government and commercial challenges. They are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to contribute to critical Navy programs. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful missions, translating intricate technical information into clear, actionable training materials that empower service members.
The Role
• Develop, revise, and manage highly regulated military training documentation for a Navy program office.
• Translate complex technical specifications into standardized Navy instructional materials and strategic plans.
• Create and update training materials, media, and associated curriculum documentation for Navy training systems and C4I capabilities.
• Distill complex communications engineering data into clear, concise instructions for diverse audiences, from entry-level personnel to high-level leadership.
• Ensure program goals are achieved and quality standards are met through effective communication and documentation.
What You'll Need
• Experience developing and editing Navy technical manuals for Fleet Systems.
• Familiarity with military communications equipment and Navy training policy (e.g., OPNAVINST 1500.76, NAVEDTRA 130).
• Experience with Navy manpower and training databases (e.g., HARPS, CMATT).
• Ability to author or edit DoD and DoN training documentation.
• A Secret clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in business or communications.
