We're recruiting for two contract Senior Snowflake Developer positions in a risk reporting function that is moving legacy Microsoft data platforms onto Snowflake, dbt and Python. • Building and optimising ELT/ETL pipelines and reusable dbt transformation frameworks
• Developing Python-based processing, automation and integration, and designing dimensional and analytical data models
• Tuning Snowflake queries and workloads for performance and cost, and resolving complex production issues
• Supporting the migration of legacy platforms to the cloud and contributing to architecture and technical standards
• Running requirements workshops with business stakeholders and providing technical leadership through delivery

What You'll Bring

• Extensive hands-on Snowflake experience, with strong dbt for transformation, modelling and deployment
• Advanced Python development for data engineering and automation
• Strong SQL Server experience, including database design, optimisation and troubleshooting
• Solid grounding in data warehousing, star schema and dimensional modelling, plus source control and CI/CD
• Banking or financial services background, ideally credit or market risk, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders

Desirable: Control-M, Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Azure data services, Snowflake Streamlit, cloud migration, near-real-time processing, AI or generative AI tools, market, credit or counterparty risk, regulatory reporting, capital and liquidity reporting
