3rd Line Support Engineer - Microsoft 365 & Cyber Security

Location: Aldershot, Hampshire
Salary: 45,000 - 55,000
Type: Permanent, full-time

The company
Our client is an established Hampshire managed service provider. They support UK businesses with IT, Microsoft 365 and cyber security. They're growing and need a senior engineer who can take ownership of customer environments.

The role
You'll be the technical escalation point for a range of business customers. Your work will include:

• Managing Microsoft 365 tenants: users, groups, licences, mailboxes, security settings and access controls
• Working across the M365, Exchange, Teams and SharePoint admin centres and Entra ID
• Setting up and supporting MFA, conditional access, and joiner, mover and leaver processes
• Running endpoint security, patching, backup and monitoring, and responding to security alerts
• Onboarding new customers, including discovery, tenant reviews, documentation and setup
• Improving internal processes and technical standards

What you'll need

• At least 3 years of hands-on Microsoft 365 administration
• Senior support, systems administration or MSP experience
• Hands-on cyber security work, such as endpoint protection, alert response, patching and backup
• Experience with Kaseya tools or similar RMM/PSA platforms (e.g. Datto, Autotask, IT Glue, ConnectWise, NinjaOne)
• Strong Windows and business IT troubleshooting
• Confidence dealing with customers, and good documentation habits

Nice to have
Intune, Defender, Microsoft 365 Lighthouse, Purview, Copilot administration, firewalls, switches and VPNs, and relevant Microsoft or security certifications.
