Job Description

Job Number 16153 Standard Job Description Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems, and information technology related responsibilities including design, development, and analysis of computer systems or programs based on and related to user or system design specifications; applying systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.

Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

For positions that do not perform IT responsibilities, use E146, Systems Engineer.

Basic Qualifications • Experience with Linux operating systems • An active Secret with background investigation within 6 years • Must possess or be able to obtain within 6 months of start date a valid IAT Level II or III DoD Approved 8140 (DoD 8570) certification such as Security+ • Knowledge and experience with system administration of Windows, Active Directory, and/or Linux environments • Basic working with scripting and automation • Demonstrated experience effectively performing in a fast paced, dynamic environment • Basic knowledge of DoD RMF or other protection level caveats • Experience developing effective stakeholder and partner relationships • Ability to work through technical, project, operational, and resource challenges. • Proven business acumen to manage multiple assignments and projects with the ability to balance technical requirements with business needs and affordability • Demonstrated collaboration, including interpersonal and teaming skills

Desired Skills • At least four years experience working in environments with diverse Linux based distributions and tools • Prefer Security+, CISSP, or other IAT Level II/III security certification • Experience operating and maintaining secure operating system configurations on secure networks • Experience working in and maintaining Active Directory domains • Experience building and/or working with hypervisors and in virtual environments, such as VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V, etc. • Scripting ability to support system administration activities and automation (i.e.

Ansible, Python, BASH, Perl, Batch, VBScript, PowerShell, etc.) • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills • Experience managing McAfee anti-virus updates on Windows and Linux/Unix; prefer ePO experience • Technical documentation creation and management; including documenting existing environments • Experience developing and maintaining Windows or Linux baselines, including security settings and hardening • Intuitive thinker that can contrive and implement new solutions to technical problems • Experience with SSSD and Active Directory, LDAP, or IDM/FreeIPA Integration • Understanding of routing/switching networking concepts • Prefer experience working in Linux Environments (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, SuSE, etc) Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
