The Role • Operate heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks. • Drive hostlers to precisely position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Utilize specialized equipment to stack, move, and organize containers efficiently. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to guarantee safety and functionality. • Communicate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container movements. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all established protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is required. • Prior experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs. • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and maintain open availability. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
