Job Summary The Senior Application Architect will lead the architectural design and implementation of a casino management system (CMS) from inception through launch. The role focuses on creating scalable, secure, and high-performance applications, establishing architectural standards, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring solutions meet applicable regulatory requirements while supporting effective user experiences.

Key Responsibilities Define and drive the architectural vision for the casino management system (CMS), ensuring alignment with business goals and applicable industry regulations. Develop architectural blueprints outlining system components, modules, and data flows from initial concept through deployment, with a focus on scalability and performance. Oversee the software development lifecycle for the CMS, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and launch.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including gaming operations, compliance, Enterprise Architecture, UX/UI design, and DevOps. Design multi-tiered applications using microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native principles tailored to casino operations. Ensure applications follow security best practices and applicable data protection and privacy standards. Evaluate and select technologies, frameworks, and tools that improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability. Integrate third-party gaming systems, payment gateways, and APIs to support casino operations.

Implement comprehensive testing strategies, including automated testing, to ensure high-quality software delivery. Identify and resolve architectural bottlenecks and optimize systems for high transaction volumes and real-time data processing. Establish and enforce coding standards, engineering best practices, and architectural guidelines. Conduct code reviews and technical audits to ensure compliance with architectural standards and applicable requirements. Mentor and guide engineering teams while promoting continuous improvement, technical excellence, and innovation.

Lead training sessions related to architectural principles and relevant gaming technologies. Serve as a technical liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, communicating architectural decisions, project status, and timelines. Facilitate architectural strategy and decision-making discussions to maintain alignment across stakeholders. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in software development, including significant experience in architectural design and technical leadership roles within casino or gaming environments. Demonstrated experience leading software projects from inception through launch. Deep expertise in application architecture patterns, including microservices and serverless architectures, for high-availability systems. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.

Experience with application frameworks such as Spring, .NET, or Node.js. Extensive knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including database design and performance tuning. Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra. Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and services supporting application development and deployment. Familiarity with application security principles and compliance standards relevant to the gaming industry, including PCI-DSS and GDPR.

Strong understanding of Agile development practices and DevOps principles. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications or licenses in accordance with applicable requirements.

Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications. Experience designing and implementing casino management systems or gaming technology platforms. Experience with high-volume transactional systems and real-time data processing. Experience integrating third-party gaming platforms, payment systems, and enterprise APIs.
