Procurement Specialist Vacancy

  • Location: West London
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Salary: £40k - £42k per annum (including hybrid working option)

Join a leading media company in a high-impact, hands-on Procurement Specialist role. This position offers the opportunity to support various departments including Marketing, HR, Professional Services, and more, by enhancing commercial decision-making through cost-saving initiatives, negotiating terms, and managing supplier relationships.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Contract and Risk Management: Perform supplier due diligence, highlighting areas of risk and managing contracts to prevent any lapse in services. Ensure timely delivery of goods and services with effective contract management.
  • Support Across Departments: Assist various departments in delivering their strategic goals by identifying cost-saving opportunities and leading supplier negotiations to ensure the best value for the business.
  • Sourcing and Negotiation: Lead sourcing projects, including market research, creating and issuing RFx documentation, conducting tenders, and analyzing supplier responses to facilitate critical business decisions.
  • Stakeholder and Supplier Management: Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and teams such as Legal, Information Security, and Finance. Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, addressing any issues to maintain positive supplier performance.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest and support the implementation of new processes within the business and the Procurement team. Maintain visibility of the team's projects and contracts prioritization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Clear understanding of the end-to-end procurement cycle, with experience in acquiring goods and services.
  • Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills to secure the best terms and value for the company.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills at all levels, capable of managing multiple stakeholder relationships.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerBI, contract lifecycle tools, and Coupa.
  • Organisation: Well-organised with good time management skills, able to handle multiple tasks and workstreams.
  • Qualifications: Higher national or degree level qualification is desirable. CIPS qualification (or working towards it) is also preferred.
