Quick Overview
Job Description
Overview
This is our first content hire. We're looking for a producer to build Clipbook's video and podcast program from scratch.
We work with the communications teams at some of the most influential organizations in public affairs, government, and advocacy. Those are the people you'd be filming.
You'd own the whole thing: strategy, booking, shooting, editing, publishing. We're fifteen people, profitable and growing fast.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Podcast strategy
Decide what we make and why: the show's premise, who it's for, and value delivered
Own formats, the editorial calendar, and the publishing schedule
Source, research, book and prep our guests
Own how the show looks and sounds
Video production
Run the podcast and our executive and customer video from pre-production through post
Handle camera, lighting, and audio on site, and rent gear in whatever city we're shooting in
Turn each shoot into a full package: clips, stills, captions, thumbnails, graphics
Keep the look consistent across shoots so footage from different locations cuts together
Distribution
Edit long-form episodes and cut them for LinkedIn, YouTube, and X
Work with GTM on the calendar and keep us publishing on schedule
Track what performs and feed it back into what we make next
Travel to shoots in US.
Other duties as assigned.
Strong Candidates Will Have:
Taste. This is valued more than years of experience or your education.
Production skills - comfortable owning a two- or three-camera setup, lighting a room you've never been in, and troubleshooting audio without a second set of hands.
Experience with Premiere, Final Cut, or DaVinci, plus working comfort with motion graphics and sound design.
A strong eye for what performs on social, and the judgment to cut for attention without cutting for cheapness.
Resourcefulness with a budget: you know when to rent, when to hire local crew, and when to just get it done.
Highly motivated and results-oriented with intense responsiveness, coachability, and a strong drive to succeed.
Adaptability and willingness to thrive in a nimble, execution-focused startup.
Interest in media, communications, or business storytelling is a plus.
Logistics:
Full-time: Starting at $70,000; full medical, dental, and vision benefits, flexible PTO, and 401(k).
Part-time/Contract: $25-$30 per hour. ~10–20 hours per week. Remote between shoots; travel covered.
To apply:
Submit through ashby and attach any relevant reels/portfolios. Ideally include one project you produced end to end, and tell us what you'd have done differently with more time or budget.
