Senior Presales Consultant - SaaS

Our client is a global leader in finance automation software, trusted by thousands of organisations to run their financial close, consolidation, intercompany and invoice-to-cash processes. The business is growing in Germany and is expanding its presales team to support that growth.

The Role:

This Senior Presales Consultant will play a central part in the company’s most strategic enterprise deals in Germany. Working alongside Sales, they will lead discovery, deliver demonstrations and build the business case that wins the deal. The role also mentors the wider presales team and feeds field insight back into product strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead discovery workshops with senior business and IT stakeholders to uncover and quantify critical challenges

• Design and deliver persona-driven demonstrations that tie the platform to clear business value and set it apart from competitors

• Build data-driven business cases and ROI models with prospects that make the case for change

• Own the technical and value strategy for key accounts, coordinating internal resources across each deal

• Lead the solution for complex RFPs and competitive Proofs of Concept

• Show how the platform fits with and extends the prospect’s ERP landscape

• Mentor peers and help raise the performance of the wider presales team

The Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years in enterprise SaaS presales as a solution consultant, sales engineer or in a similar role, with a strong performance record

• Proven ability to lead consultative discovery and build business cases and ROI models with enterprise customers

• Strong presentation skills, with the presence to lead a room of senior executives

• Experience mentoring peers and lifting team performance

• Fluent German and strong English, written and spoken

• Willingness to travel across Germany and the wider DACH region (~15–20%)

Nice to Have:

• Experience selling to the Office of the CFO, or knowledge of finance processes such as financial close, consolidation or intercompany
