On behalf of S&W Partners, AMS are looking for an IT Procurement Manager for an initial 3 month contract based in London/ North East England. It is an onsite role.
Purpose of the Role:
To deliver commercial value through the negotiation and optimisation of key third-party supplier contracts across IT (Hardware, Software and services), Facilities Management and Indirect categories. The successful candidate will support strategic procurement initiatives, supplier consolidation, contract governance and savings delivery, working closely with operational stakeholders and the S&W team.
As a IT Procurement Manager you will be responsible for:
- Lead procurement and commercial negotiations for key IT suppliers across software, infrastructure, telecoms, managed services, and technology platforms.
- Drive cost savings and contract optimisation by identifying commercial efficiencies, reducing spend, and improving supplier performance.
- Manage contract renewals and negotiation strategies to secure favourable terms and support evolving business needs.
- Support supplier rationalisation and consolidation initiatives to streamline the supply base and improve value delivery.
- Partner with IT leadership to ensure contractual arrangements align with business objectives, acquisition activity, and future growth plans.
- Lead Facilities Management procurement activities, including TFM and specialist FM sourcing, tender evaluations, supplier selection, and delivery of measurable savings while maintaining service quality and compliance.
What we require from the candidate:
- Demonstrated success in delivering procurement savings across IT (hardware, software, and services), Facilities Management, and other indirect spend categories.
- Strong commercial and negotiation expertise managing contracts ranging from £100k to multi-million-pound values.
- In-depth knowledge of key procurement areas, including software licensing, managed services, telecoms, cloud and infrastructure services, facilities management, and property maintenance contracts.
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across Finance, IT, Operations, and Facilities functions.
- Highly analytical and commercially focused, with strong attention to detail and the ability to identify value, risk, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Working within financial services and FCA-regulated environments is essential.
