Maintenance Engineer

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Type: Full Time, Permanent Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire Ref. No: 1051 Salary: £48,443 per annum + benefits Shifts: Monday to Friday 06:00-14:30 / 14:00-22:30 Please note you must have full and legal rights to work in the UK. About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated warehouse operation in Northampton. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving a fast-paced materials handling environment, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and downtime is kept to a minimum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on automated materials handling equipment
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and rectify faults, while identifying and implementing long-term solutions to prevent reoccurrence
• Accurately record all maintenance activities in line with agreed processes and procedures
• Build strong working relationships with the customer, supporting day-to-day operational activities
• Investigate equipment issues, identify root causes and work proactively with the operations team to minimise disruption
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute ideas to enhance system performance and reliability
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers to ensure a smooth and efficient operation

Requirements:

• ONC, HNC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or PLC Engineering
• PLC knowledge and fault-finding experience is required
• Experience within an automated environment
• Happy with lone working
• Ability to work at height
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
