The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks within an intermodal yard. • Perform daily pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate container moves and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors. • Maintain a safe work environment by strictly adhering to established protocols. • Position containers and chassis accurately within the yard. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy machinery in logistics or industrial settings is preferred. • Strong safety consciousness and a keen eye for detail. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions. • Open availability for all shifts, including weekends and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
