Data Center Engineering Operations Technician

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks an Engineering Operations Technician for our night shift to support mission-critical data center infrastructure. You will monitor and maintain servers, networking, and facility systems, respond to alerts and incidents, perform hardware replacements, and execute standard changes with strong attention to safety and availability. Working in AWS's fast-paced, customer-obsessed culture, you will collaborate with engineers, follow runbooks, document work, and continually improve processes while learning advanced cloud and data center technologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain data center servers, networks, and facility systems during night shifts
• Respond to alerts and incidents, escalating to on-call engineers as needed
• Perform hardware diagnostics, swaps, racking, stacking, and cabling
• Execute standard operating procedures and change requests safely and accurately
• Use monitoring and ticketing tools to track, resolve, and document issues
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support infrastructure upgrades and deployments
• Follow security, safety, and compliance standards within the data center
• Contribute to process improvements, runbook updates, and automation opportunities
