Key Responsibilities

Administer and configure Snowflake security and governance capabilities, including RBAC, dynamic masking, and object tagging. Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot access governance controls within Immuta and other governance platforms. Configure and monitor data quality checks, alerting mechanisms, and governance-related operational processes. Support the adoption and enhancement of AI-assisted data documentation and description generation tools. Partner with engineering teams to test, validate, and deploy ingest-time data tagging and metadata management solutions. Collaborate with program and product stakeholders to translate governance policies, security requirements, and compliance standards into technical implementations. Support governance operations, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Participate in evaluations, testing, and implementation of new governance, catalog, quality, and security technologies.

Requirements
Core Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Strong hands-on proficiency with SQL and Python. Experience administering and supporting Snowflake security and governance capabilities, including RBAC, masking policies, and object tagging. Experience supporting and troubleshooting production platforms or enterprise data environments. Working knowledge of data governance concepts. Ability to quickly learn new technologies and configure solutions using documentation and vendor resources.

Experience collaborating with business, product, or governance stakeholders to convert policies and requirements into technical implementations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with data access governance tools such as Immuta or SecuPi. Experience with data quality platforms such as Anomalo, Monte Carlo, or similar tools. Experience with metadata and data catalog solutions including Alation, Collibra, or Microsoft Purview. Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD practices, including Terraform or equivalent technologies. Experience with identity and access management solutions such as SailPoint or Okta. Experience participating in vendor evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and tool selection initiatives.

Experience supporting data stewards in defining critical data elements, data quality requirements, and remediation processes. Familiarity with privacy, compliance, audit, and regulatory frameworks and their technical implementation. Experience with AI-assisted data documentation, metadata enrichment, or data description generation tools. Exposure to AI, agent, or LLM-based access patterns operating against governed datasets.
