About the Role
Join a close-knit legal team handling general defense litigation, primarily premises liability. This is a long-term growth opportunity with mentorship, collaboration with senior attorneys, and a collegial open-door culture.
What You'll Do
Manage a full caseload of defense litigation from inception through resolution.
Conduct and defend depositions.
Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences.
Work with senior attorneys on trial preparation, legal strategy, and client communications.
Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and case strategy documents.
What We're Looking For
Two to seven years of law firm experience handling a full caseload in defense litigation.
Experience appearing before judges, attending court conferences, and navigating New York courts, including New York City and Long Island jurisdictions.
Deposition experience, both conducting and defending.
Background in premises liability or general negligence litigation.
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York bar.
Strong drafting skills across motions, pleadings, and discovery.
Interest in a collaborative, mentorship-oriented team and long-term professional growth.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $125,000 to $165,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Hybrid role based in New York City, New York, with an in-office onboarding period and flexible hybrid work afterward.
