Job Description
We are looking for an autonomous Data Scientist based in Malaysia to own the intersection of sophisticated predictive decision-making and world-class engineering for our local operations. In this role, you won't just run standard scripts; you will be the custodian of our product's localized evolution, ensuring our AI-driven decision engines are mathematically sound, highly optimized, and engineering-resilient. You will be working remotely from Malaysia for our clients in Sydney.
Working closely with our core engineering team in Berlin, you will translate complex, real-world retail challenges into scalable, high-performance software solutions directly impacting our client on the ground. As our dedicated data science resource in Sydney, you are the engine of 7Learnings' regional presence. Our product relies on the perfect harmony between complex algorithms and stable software; you will be responsible for ensuring that our technical execution remains flawless, technical debt remains low, and model accuracy remains exceptionally high.
Your mission- Leverage analytical skills to support retail optimization projects.
- Experiment with Machine Learning models to forecast sales volume and costs.
- Interface with retailers to continuously improve the 7Learnings software.
- Collaborate closely with our engineering team.
- Optimize our data pipelines and predictive model codebases.
- Support the monitoring, measurement, and exploration of large-scale datasets.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
- A results-oriented, pragmatic mindset.
- Hands-on experience in machine learning and data science.
- Prior experience with Git, TensorFlow, Google Cloud Platform, SQL, or BigQuery.
- English: Professional working proficiency (minimum C1 level).
- You are located in Malaysia.
