The WTRSS team are looking for a Software Developer/Engineer to contribute to design, development and implementation improvements of the Woomera Test Range. The current development opportunities look to integrate new instrumentation into the Test Range capabilities, and to expand the functionality of existing systems. Key Responsibilities- Analyse, design, develop and integrate a broad range of software applications into both Windows and Linux environments.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and Software Development Environment, driving capability forward.
- Work in a small team to implement software functionality that meets internal and external requirements.
- Provide input into IT design solutions.
- Strive to find new and innovative capabilities for the Woomera Test Range Mission System.
- Ability to work solo effectively when required.
- Strong drive for collaboration and teamwork.
- Building high-quality and reliable software solutions that will fill capabilities into the future.
- Travel to Woomera Test Range to support trial activities as required.
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a software engineering role, or equivalent.
- Windows & Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred) Virtualisation and Containerisation technologies
- Knowledge of Secure Development Practices
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., C#, C++, Python, Bash).
- Experience in DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, and system automation is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work independently in complex, regulated environments.
