About the Role
The Chief of Security Operations (the "CSO") serves as a critical leadership and command resource within GLOBAL OPS' Security Operations structure. This is a high-responsibility, operational leadership role designed to strengthen the chain of command, reinforce personnel accountability, and maintain consistent security standards across assigned operations.
Unlike the Field Operations Specialist, whose responsibilities emphasize regional mobility, site coverage, and operational versatility, the CSO focuses on personnel leadership, command structure, operational discipline, and security management development.
The CSO plays a key role in supporting the Regional Security Operations Manager and Director of Security Operations by maintaining an effective frontline command structure, reinforcing management directives, and supporting the professional development of security personnel.
This role combines active operational responsibilities with structured leadership education and progressive command development.
The position is designed as a developmental pathway into formal Security Operations Management, with an emphasis on building the knowledge, judgment, and leadership capabilities required to assume greater organizational responsibility.

Support the coordination of daily security operations and personnel assignments.
Promote operational discipline, professional accountability, and adherence to company policies.
Identify breakdowns in communication, command structure, or operational execution and escalate appropriately.

2. Personnel Accountability & Team Development
Monitor the operational performance, readiness, and professional conduct of assigned security personnel.
Provide real-time coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.

Identify performance gaps, training needs, and opportunities for personnel development.
Assist management in evaluating employee readiness for increased responsibility.
Reinforce attendance expectations, punctuality, uniform standards, and post-order compliance.
Escalate recurring performance concerns and personnel matters through established management channels.
3. Operational Standards & Command Execution
Ensure assigned personnel understand and execute site-specific post orders, operational procedures, and client expectations.
Conduct operational briefings, shift transitions, and personnel readiness checks as assigned.
Monitor the consistency and quality of security operations within assigned areas of responsibility.
Support the implementation of operational directives issued by Security Operations Management.
Identify procedural deficiencies and recommend improvements.
Maintain clear communication between frontline personnel and management.
Support operational continuity during staffing challenges, personnel transitions, and unexpected disruptions.

Ensure incidents are escalated promptly to appropriate management personnel.
Support accurate incident documentation, reporting, and follow-up.
Maintain composure, sound judgment, and command presence during high-pressure situations.

Participate in structured leadership development and security management training.
Develop proficiency in chain-of-command principles, supervisory practices, and personnel accountability.
Study operational planning, risk management, incident command, and security administration.
Build competency in conflict resolution, professional communication, and leadership decision-making.
Participate in management briefings, operational reviews, and leadership development exercises.
Apply leadership concepts through practical assignments, coaching opportunities, and operational responsibilities.
