Job Description- Position Type: Full Time, Permanent
As the Senior Manager, Data Governance, you will lead CSC's enterprise data governance framework, driving data ownership, stewardship, quality and lifecycle management practices across the organisation.
Working closely with Technology, Risk, Security, Privacy, Legal and business teams, you'll strengthen governance capabilities, promote accountable data practices, and ensure compliance with regulatory and business requirements.
This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide data practices, improve trust in data, and help shape CSC's data governance maturity.
Key responsibilities- Develop and lead CSC's data governance framework, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements
- Establish and maintain data standards, policies, and governance practices to support consistent, high-quality data
- Monitor compliance with data governance policies and relevant regulatory obligations
- Drive data quality initiatives by identifying issues, coordinating improvements and implementing corrective actions
- Partner with business, IT and security teams to strengthen data integrity, access controls, and information security
- Conduct data risk assessments and support internal and external audit activities
- Promote a strong data governance culture through training, guidance and stakeholder engagement
- 5+ years' experience in data governance, data management, or a related discipline, ideally within the Australian superannuation or broader financial services sector
- Strong knowledge of APRA, ASIC, privacy and data governance requirements
- Experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies and standards
- Hands-on experience with data governance, data quality and business intelligence tools
- Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels of an organisation
- Leadership experience, including coaching and developing high-performing teams
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data risk, quality management and audits
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
