Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE The Community Cricket Data & Insights Manager is responsible for leading Cricket Australia's national Community Cricket insights, reporting and analytics function, ensuring data comes together and is translated into meaningful action that supports a thriving, inclusive, and growing cricket community. This role focuses on problem solving and providing evidence to support the development of forward-thinking strategies that enhance participation and system performance. This is a full time manager position with two direct reports. The key deliverables for the role are to lead Community Cricket Data and Insight strategy, deliver actionable insights that inform decision making and shaping participation growth through modelling, research and stakeholder leadership.

Reporting to the Head of Participation, you'll be responsible for:
  • Driving a Sport Wide Data Strategy
  • Ensure that information from different systems and stakeholders comes together in a consistent and meaningful way.
  • Manage the Community Cricket data and insights team.
  • Connect community cricket data priorities with CA's strategic ambitions and the broader organisational direction.
  • Ensure community insights are aligned with the needs of other business units.
  • Link participation journeys with broader customer strategies through the lens of Play, Attend and Follow.
  • Insight, Reporting & Analysis
  • Drive an aligned national reporting framework with defined success metrics.
  • Lead the National Cricket Census and associated insights.
  • Connect multiple data sources to produce meaningfully integrated insights.
  • Solve business problems with actionable insights and support business adoption and interpretation.
  • Produce engaging presentations that communicate insights.
  • Participation Modelling & Strategic Planning
  • Collaborate with State and Territory Associations to set and track participation targets.
  • Lead the strategic implementation of Participation churn modelling.
  • Lead acquisition and retention modelling.
  • Translate trends into practical recommendations.
  • Research & Evidence Based Decision-Making
  • Lead national research programs and external research partnerships.
  • Ensure bestpractice methodologies are applied.
  • Support application of insights into planning and program design.
  • Leadership & Cross Functional Support
  • Support the National Community Cricket Leadership team and be the key point of contact for State & Territory Cricket Associations for data and insights.
  • Support the CC&C Leadership Team with strategies and plans.
  • Influence and support stakeholders across the cricket system.
  • Represent Participation Data as a trusted advisor.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline. Ability to take ownership of outcomes, exercise sound judgment and proactively identify and address challenges and opportunities. Management and leadership experience. Experience designing and managing reporting. Ability to solve complex problems. Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis capability. Ability to translate trends into actionable insights. Excellent verbal and written communication. Experience leading research projects. Ability to manage divergent interests. Self motivated and collaborative.
