Job Description

Releaf Dispensary Ltd is a pioneering medical cannabis clinic committed to providing high-quality, safe, and effective cannabis-based products. Headquartered in the UK, we aim to enhance the quality of life for our patients through cutting-edge solutions and outstanding patient service. We are a fast-growing team of passionate professionals on a mission to put patients back in control of their health journey — we have seen first-hand how alternative treatments can change lives.

We are proud to be a certified B Corp — the first medicinal cannabis clinic in the world to achieve this recognition — reflecting our commitment to the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility.

The role

You will report into the Head of Performance Marketing and work closely with our Paid Social Specialist. You’ll own and scale our paid search programme across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, and to make sure the numbers behind it stand up to scrutiny.

This is an operational role, not an oversight role. You will be in the accounts daily — building, bidding, testing, writing, cutting the data and reporting on what it all means. You'll be managing significant budgets from day one, in a category where advertising is tightly regulated and accuracy matters as much as performance.

The role suits someone who has run large paid search accounts either agency-side or in-house, and who is comfortable in GA4.

Main Responsibilities

Paid search

  • Own day-to-day management of Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising accounts — structure, keywords, bids, budgets, negatives, audiences and ad copy.
  • Manage and pace significant monthly media spend against CPA and volume targets, with clear forecasting and in-month course correction.
  • Build and optimise across campaign types, including Search and Performance Max
  • Run a continuous testing roadmap: ad copy, landing pages, bidding strategies, match types, audience layers and creative.
  • Manage search query mining, competitor monitoring and market/keyword expansion.
  • Work within advertising policy and regulatory restrictions specific to our sector — ensuring every ad, extension and landing page is compliant before it goes live, and managing appeals or disapprovals when they happen.
  • Work closely with Google and Microsoft account teams, and get the most out of betas, support and alpha access.

Analytics and measurement

  • Use GA4 to analyse performance end to end — acquisition through to conversion and revenue — and turn that into decisions, not just dashboards.
  • Build and maintain conversion tracking, events, audiences and custom reports in GA4, working with Google Tag Manager.
  • Own paid search reporting: weekly performance, monthly business reviews, and ad hoc deep dives for leadership.
  • Reconcile platform data with GA4 and internal data, and be able to explain the gaps confidently.
  • Build and maintain reporting in Data Studio so the wider business has a single, trusted view of performance.
  • Feed insight back into landing pages, offers and creative — you'll be expected to have a point of view on what should change and why.

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Strong, demonstrable, hands-on paid search experience across both Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising.
  • Proven track record managing significant paid search budgets with direct accountability for performance.
  • Strong working knowledge of GA4 — reporting, event and conversion configuration, audience building and analysis.
  • Confident with numbers: comfortable in spreadsheets, able to model scenarios, forecast and spot anomalies quickly.
  • Able to work independently and prioritise — this is a hands-on role with real ownership.

Desirable

  • Agency background, or in-house experience in a tightly regulated industry (healthcare, pharma, financial services, gambling, legal or similar).
  • Working knowledge of German — useful for our German-language activity, but not a requirement.
  • Google Tag Manager, Data Studio, and experience with server-side or consent-mode tracking setups.
  • Experience with paid social, programmatic or wider performance channels.
  • Google Ads and GA4 certifications.

We're open on background. If you can prove you're excellent at paid search and rigorous with data, we want to hear from you. At Releaf, we believe that diverse teams build better businesses. We're committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and able to do their best work. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences — and we're happy to make reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process if you need them. If you'd like to discuss this, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
