Job Description
A leading international financial institution is seeking a talented Structured Finance Lawyer to join its growing EMEA Legal team in Amsterdam. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance lawyer looking to move into a highly commercial, international environment whilst maintaining exposure to sophisticated cross-border transactions.
Working within a team of 13 legal professionals and reporting directly to the Director, Advisory & Regulatory Legal, you will play a key role in supporting complex structured finance and strategic financing transactions across the EMEA region.
The Role
You will advise business stakeholders on a broad range of financing transactions and structured products, working closely with front office, risk, compliance and external counsel.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Advising on structured finance, securitisation and specialty finance transactions.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documentation.
- Supporting fund finance, real estate finance and other structured lending matters.
- Advising on derivatives and hedging documentation including ISDA, CSA and GMRA agreements.
- Providing legal support on new product development and strategic initiatives.
- Managing external counsel relationships and legal spend.
- Identifying legal, regulatory and reputational risks across transactions.
- Partnering with stakeholders across multiple EMEA jurisdictions on complex financing solutions.
Candidate Profile
- Approximately 2-6 years' PQE.
- Experience gained at a leading international law firm or financial institution.
- Strong technical knowledge of structured finance, securitisation, derivatives, fund finance or capital markets transactions.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
